La revista Latin American Journal of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition (Lat Am J Pediatr Gastroenterol Hepatol Nutr) es el órgano oficial de difusión de la Sociedad Latinoamericana de Gastroenterología, Hepatología y Nutrición Pediátrica.
Lat Am J Pediatr Gastroenterol Hepatol Nutr. publica artículos originales, artículos de revisión y casos clínicos sobre cualquier aspecto relacionado con la gastroenterología y la nutrición pediátrica.
PREPARACIÓN Y ENVÍO DE MANUSCRITOS
Todos los artículos (de investigación, de revisión, casos clínicos, cartas al editor y de otro tipo) deben someterse preferentemente en inglés americano (aunque se aceptan artículos en español y portugués) previamente revisado o redactado por un escritor profesional de inglés médico-científico. Los artículos de revisión deben ser evaluativos y reflexivos, de revisión sistemática o metanálisis.
Tipos de artículos:
Los manuscritos deben enviarse a través del nuevo sistema editorial electrónico de la revista en la dirección electrónica https://publisher.lajpgn.permanyer.com donde, primeramente, el autor de correspondencia debe registrarse como autor. Una vez que cuente con nombre de usuario y contraseña, podrá cargar en el sistema los archivos de su trabajo siguiendo las instrucciones.
Para evitar duplicidades en el sistema, por favor absténgase de crear una nueva solicitud cuando reenvíe sus archivos modificados. Debe continuar utilizando la misma referencia hasta que su manuscrito culmine el proceso editorial.
Los trabajos deben elaborarse con el procesador de textos Word, fuente Arial de 12 puntos, a doble espacio en todo su contenido (incluyendo página inicial, resúmenes, texto, referencias, tablas y pies de figuras) con márgenes de 2.5 cm. Las páginas deben numerarse consecutivamente, comenzando con la página inicial; el número arábigo se anotará en la esquina inferior derecha.
Los trabajos deben incorporar las siguientes secciones sin excepción:
– Página inicial
– Título completo y título breve
– Resúmenes en español, portugués e inglés
– Palabras clave en español, portugués e inglés
– Artículos de investigación: Introducción, Métodos, Resultados, Discusión, Referencias, Tablas y Figuras
– Casos clínicos: Introducción, Caso clínico, Discusión, Referencias, Tablas y Figuras. Su extensión no debe ser mayor a 3000 palabras en total y como máximo pueden incluir 4 tablas o figuras o la suma de ambas
1. Página inicial
La página inicial debe incluir:
– Título del trabajo en español, portugués y en inglés
– Título corto o running title, de no más de 40 caracteres, en el idioma en el que se haya redactado el artículo
– Tipo de artículo: artículo de investigación, artículo de revisión, caso clínico, caso clínico-patológico, tema pediátrico o salud pública
– Primer nombre, inicial del segundo nombre (si aplica) y apellido(s) de cada autor (sin títulos o cargos). Añadir un guion si se pone el segundo apellido. Ejemplo: Antonio P. Morales; Antonio Morales, o Antonio P. Morales-Andrade
– Las filiaciones serán referidas con números consecutivos en superíndice, después del nombre del autor. Ejemplo: Antonio P. Morales1; XXXX2; etc.
– Los departamentos institucionales en los que están adscritos: Unidad, Servicio, Departamento / Hospital / Facultad y Universidad / Ciudad, Provincia, País
– Nombre, dirección electrónica, dirección postal y teléfono del autor de correspondencia, que es con el único que los editores tendrán comunicación sobre el proceso de revisión y, en su caso, la publicación del trabajo
– Fuente financiación
– Agradecimientos.
2. Resúmenes
Los resúmenes, tanto en español, portugués, como en inglés (abstract), no deben rebasar las 250 palabras cada uno. Ya que el resumen es la parte más leída del artículo, es muy importante que este sea claro, conciso y que contenga los aspectos relevantes de cada una de las secciones indicadas a continuación.
- En el caso de los Artículos de Investigación debe escribirse un resumen estructurado con las siguientes secciones: Introducción, Métodos, Resultados y Conclusiones
- Los Casos Clínicos también deben incluir resumen estructurado con las siguientes secciones: Introducción, Caso Clínico y Conclusiones
- Los Artículos de Revisión deben incluir un resumen simple, no estructurado.
2.2. Palabras clave (keywords)
Deben incluirse 3 a 6 palabras clave basadas en el MeSH (consultar la página electrónica www.nlm.nih.gov/mesh/MBrowser.html) en español, portugués e inglés.
3. Cuerpo del manuscrito
El cuerpo principal del trabajo debe incluir el título, los resúmenes en español, portugués e inglés, palabras clave en los tres idiomas (aunque ya se hayan incluido en secciones independientes); el texto principal, las referencias, y los pies de figura, pero no las figuras ni información de la página inicial.
Los artículos originales, artículos de revisión y casos clínicos deberán contener:
– Una página frontal con todos los datos detallados en el punto 1
– Un segundo archivo con el manuscrito totalmente anónimo, las declaraciones del conflicto de intereses, financiación y responsabilidades éticas que se completan electrónicamente en el gestor de manuscritos cuando se envía el artículo

4. Tablas
Las tablas deben realizarse en archivos Word. Cada una debe presentarse en archivos individuales, ser autoexplicativas por su título breve y pies de tabla y numerarse de acuerdo con el orden de aparición en el texto con números arábigos. Al pie de las tablas se deben explicar las abreviaturas, así como las notas o leyendas; para estas últimas deben usarse letras en orden alfabético y formato superíndice. Todas las tablas y sus notas o leyendas deben ser editables, no copiadas ni pegadas de fuentes externas.
5. Figuras
- Las figuras, fotografías, esquemas e ilustraciones deben presentarse cada una en archivos individuales, ser autoexplicativas y numerarse de acuerdo con el orden de aparición en el texto con números arábigos. Se deberán enviar en versión española, portuguesa e inglesa, para publicarlas en las distintas versiones de la revista.
- Si las fotografías enviadas corresponden a pacientes, debe asegurarse el anonimato de los mismos; en caso contrario, debe incluirse una constancia del consentimiento escrito del paciente o sus familiares para publicar fotografías.
- Si se utilizan ilustraciones de otros autores, publicadas o inéditas, debe adjuntarse el permiso de reproducción correspondiente. Los pies de las figuras deben anotarse en una hoja por separado, en forma consecutiva, indicando el número de la figura correspondiente.
- Las imágenes digitales deben ser legibles e impresas con una resolución no inferior a los 300 dpi, con extensión jpg, eps, tiff, png y las de Microsoft™ Office. Todas las figuras deben ser editables y no copiadas y pegadas de fuentes externas, a excepción de las que los autores cuenten con el permiso de reproducción.
6. Referencias bibliográficas
Se presentarán de acuerdo con los Requisitos Uniformes para los Manuscritos Enviados a Revistas Biomédicas (Comité Internacional de Editores de Revistas Biomédicas). Las referencias se indicarán con números arábigos en forma consecutiva y en el orden en que aparecen por primera vez dentro del texto. Se referirán en el texto, cuadros y pies de figura con los números correspondientes. En las citas con múltiples autores (más de seis autores), se deberá incluir únicamente los 6 primeros autores del trabajo, seguido de et al., después de la abreviatura del nombre o nombres del 6º autor. En el caso de 6 o menos autores, se deberá incluir en la cita a todos ellos, (https://www.nlm.nih.gov/bsd/uniform_requirements.html).
• Los artículos publicados en revistas periódicas deberán aparecer en el formato siguiente: Welt CK, Chan JL, Bullen J, Murphy R, Smith P, DePaoli AM, et al. Recombinant human leptin in women with hypothalamic amenorrhea. N Engl J Med. 2004;351:987-97.
• Las referencias a libros deberán incluir el nombre completo de la editorial así como la ciudad y país de la publicación y el año en que se publicó, de acuerdo al siguiente modelo: Aréchiga H, Somolinos J. Contribuciones mexicanas a la medicina moderna. Fondo de Cultura Económica. México D.F., México, 1994.
• Las referencias a capítulos en libros deberán aparecer de la siguiente forma: Pasternak RC, Braunwald E. Acute myocardial infarction; or: Harrison's Principles of Internal Medicine. 7. Consideraciones éticas
En relación con los posibles conflictos de interés, el derecho de los sujetos a la privacidad y confidencialidad, así como los derechos humanos y animales como sujetos de investigación, la Latin American Journal of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition se adhiere a los “Requisitos uniformes para preparar los manuscritos que se presentan a las revistas biomédicas: redacción y edición de publicaciones biomédicas” en la versión más reciente publicada por el International Committee of Medical Journal Editors en su página http://www.icmje.org. Se solicitará copia del consentimiento informado en el caso de estudios con pacientes y casos clínicos, así como la aprobación del Comité de Bioética de la institución correspondiente en el caso de estudios clínicos y experimentales.
Los procedimientos en humanos deben ajustarse a las normas éticas de la Declaración de Helsinski de 1975 (World Medical Association Declaration of Helsinki) Ethical Principles For Medical Researchinvolving Human Subjects. JAMA 2000; 284:3043-5, así como al acuerdo que al respecto publicó la Secretaría de Salud el 26 de enero de 1982, y a las Normas del Comité de Ética y de Investigación de la Institución donde se efectuó un trabajo original. Los estudios en animales deben seguir lineamientos similares (Institute of Laboratory Animal Resources, National Research Council. Guide for the Care and Use of Laboratory Animals. Washington, DC. National Academy Press. 1996). Con relación a la confidencialidad de los datos, se debe informar acerca del modo en que se ha protegido el anonimato de los participantes y la privacidad de su información.
8. Financiación
El autor debe mencionar las organizaciones que financian su investigación en la sección de Financiación de su manuscrito, incluyendo los números de subvención en caso de que fuesen necesarios.
9. Conflicto de intereses
Los autores deben describir cualquier relación financiera o personal que tengan con otras personas u organizaciones y que pudieran dar lugar a un conflicto de intereses en relación con el artículo que se remite para publicación.
PROCESO DE REVISIÓN
El Editor realiza la primera revisión de los trabajos para definir si el artículo corresponde a la línea editorial de la revista y cumple con los requisitos señalados en estas instrucciones. La segunda revisión la realizan dos o tres árbitros independientes en su calidad de revisores pares. La identidad de autores y revisores es recíprocamente confidencial. El autor de correspondencia recibirá un correo electrónico con el dictamen del Editor y, en su caso, los comentarios de los revisores pares.
COPYRIGHT
Los trabajos enviados deberán acompañarse de una carta firmada por todos los autores del trabajo, en la que se haga constar que éste no ha sido publicado con anterioridad, ni se ha enviado simultáneamente a otra revista, que no existe conflicto de intereses y en caso de ser aceptada ceden los derechos de autor a la Sociedad Latinoamericana de Gastroenterología, Hepatología y Nutrición Pediátrica, que los publica en abierto bajo la licencia CC BY NC ND (http://creativecommons.org/licenses/ by-nc-nd/4.0/).
Las opiniones contenidas en el artículo son responsabilidad de los autores.
No se aceptarán artículos para su revisión si no están preparados de acuerdo con las Instrucciones para los Autores.
Para fomentar la transparencia y calidad de la investigación, se solicitará a los autores la autoevaluación de la adherencia a las guías internacionales pertinentes, según el tipo de estudio:
– Ensayos clínicos: CONSORT (http://www.consort-statement.org/). Además, todos los ensayos deberán estar registrados en alguna de las bases de datos internacionales, y siempre se deberá indicar el número de registro correspondiente.

TIPOS DE MANUSCRITO
Artículo original
Su contenido presenta los resultados de la investigación clínica o básica original. En los artículos originales el cuerpo del manuscrito debe ir estructurado en Introducción, Materiales y Métodos, Resultados, Discusión, Agradecimientos y Referencias. Extensión máxima de 10 páginas, 7 figuras, 7 tablas y 45 referencias.
Artículo de revisión
Será sobre un tema de actualidad y de relevancia médica. El autor principal o el correspondiente deberá ser una autoridad en el área o tema que se revisa y deberá anexar una lista bibliografía de sus contribuciones que avale su experiencia en el tema. Extensión máxima de 20 a 22 páginas, 6 figuras, 6 tablas y 50 referencias.
Casos clínicos
Sección dedicada a la publicación de “casos interesantes” con todas las características de las presentaciones que hacemos de los pacientes cada mañana en nuestras salas, esto es… los aspectos más importantes y necesarios para dar a conocer el problema del o los pacientes, tomados de la historia clínica. Deberán constar de resumen en español e inglés (máximo 100 palabras) en formato libre, introducción, presentación del caso, discusión, ilustraciones y bibliografía. Extensión máxima 10 páginas, 6 figuras, 6 tablas y 30 referencias.
Editorial
Esta sección estará dedicada al análisis y la reflexión sobre los problemas de salud de la población, los distintos enfoques preventivos y terapéuticos, así como los avances logrados en el campo de la investigación biomédica. Por invitación del editor.
Cartas al editor
Su objetivo es exponer: 1) comentarios positivos o negativos en respuesta a una publicación previa; 2) la comunicación concisa de una investigación; o: 3) un reporte de caso. Deberá tener un máximo de 4 autores, una extensión máxima de 800 palabras, título en español, inglés y portugués, 2 figuras, sin tablas.
Imagen clínica
Es una sección para mostrar imágenes de interés en gastroenterología y nutrición pediátrica. Puede involucrar aspectos clínicos, estudios de gabinete, anatomía patológica o cualquier otra que sea considerada de relevancia para los especialistas. Deberán enviarse dos o tres ilustraciones de excelente calidad, acompañadas de una breve descripción que destaque la importancia de la imagen, en español, inglés y portugués, (máximo de 250 palabras). En caso necesario se pueden incluir hasta tres referencias bibliográficas. Se debe cuidar la privacidad de los pacientes.

PROCESO EDITORIAL
El proceso editorial consiste en 6 etapas:
1. Recepción del manuscrito (indeterminado, dependiendo de que el autor cumpla con los requisitos): su objetivo es comprobar que el manuscrito cumple con las especificaciones de estas instrucciones para autores y que la documentación remitida está completa.
2. Revisión editorial inicial (máximo 5 días hábiles): su objetivo es corroborar la pertinencia, actualidad, originalidad y aportación científica del manuscrito, así como la solidez metodológica y estadística del estudio. En este momento se someterá a un sistema electrónico de detección de plagio. Derivado de ello se podrá obtener un dictamen de rechazado o se enviará a revisión por investigadores pares.
3. Revisión por investigadores pares (máximo 30 días hábiles): Se obtendrá la opinión de al menos dos personas expertas en el área en cuestión, quienes evaluaran los aspectos técnicos y metodológicos de la investigación
4. Revisión editorial (máximo 7 días hábiles): su objetivo es tomar una decisión basada en la opinión de revisores pares. El dictamen puede ser rechazado, cambios mayores, cambios menores o aceptado. En el caso de cambios mayores o menores se someterá nuevamente a evaluación por los revisores pares iniciales.
5. Edición final (6 semanas): su objetivo es la edición técnica y lingüística (y traducción), maquetación de galeras, asignación del DOI, y corrección por parte del autor.
6. Publicación adelantada: Todos los manuscritos serán publicados ahead of print en la página web de la revista en cuanto completen el proceso de edición, hasta ser incorporados en un número final de la revista.
PRUEBAS DE IMPRESIÓN (PDF) DE SU ARTÍCULO ACEPTADO
El autor de correspondencia recibirá las pruebas del artículo para la revisión y corrección de errores de terminología, u otras actualizaciones relacionadas con datos/cifras. Dado que el artículo estará ya editado según la normativa interna de la revista, no se admitirán correcciones de estilo. El autor de correspondencia recibirá un correo electrónico con el artículo en formato PDF, sobre el que podrá dejar sus comentarios. El autor podrá necesitar la versión 9 (o superior) de Adobe Reader, que descargable gratuitamente). Para otros requerimientos de sistema, por favor visite la página web de Adobe.
Alternativamente, los autores podrán hacer una lista de las correcciones y enviarlas por correo electrónico. Cualquier cambio importante en esta fase, estará sujeto a la aprobación del Editor. Asegúrese de incluir todos los cambios en un solo correo electrónico, puesto que no podemos garantizar la inclusión de correcciones subsiguientes.
La revisión de pruebas es responsabilidad del autor.

The Latin American Journal of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition (Lat Am J Pediatr Gastroenterol Hepatol Nutr), is the official publication organ of the Latin American Society of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition.
Lat Am J Pediatr Gastroenterol Hepatol Nutr. publishes original articles, review articles, and clinical cases on any aspect related to gastroenterology and pediatric nutrition.
PREPARATION AND SUBMISSION OF MANUSCRIPTS
All articles (research, review, clinical cases, letters to the editor and others) should preferably be submitted in American English (could be also in Spanish or Portuguese) previously revised or written by a professional medical-scientific English writer. Review articles must be evaluative and reflective, systematic review or meta-analysis.
Article categories:
Manuscripts must be sent through the online editorial system of the journal, at https://publisher.lajpgn.permanyer.com where, the corresponding author must first register as an author. Once you have your username and password, you can upload your work files to the system by following the instructions.
To avoid duplications in the system, please refrain from creating a new request when resubmitting your modified files. You should continue using the same reference until your manuscript completes the editorial process.
All manuscripts must be prepared in MicrosoftTM Word, 12 point Arial font, double spaced in all its content (including front page, abstracts, text, references, tables, and figure captions) with 2.5 cm margins. Pages should be numbered consecutively beginning with at the front page; the Arabic numeral will be noted in the lower right corner.

2. Abstracts
Abstracts, both in Spanish, Portuguese, and English should not exceed 250 words each. Since the abstract is the most read part of the article, it is very important that it be clear, concise and that it contains the relevant aspects of each of the sections indicated below.
- In the case of Research Articles, a structured abstract must be written with the following sections: Introduction, Methods, Results and Conclusions
- Clinical Cases must also include a structured summary with the following sections: Introduction, Clinical Case and Conclusions
- Review Articles should include a simple, unstructured abstract.
2.2. Keywords
Include between 3 to 6 keywords based on the MeSH (see www.nlm.nih.gov/mesh/MBrowser.html) in Spanish, Portuguese, and English.
3. Corpus of the manuscript
The main body of the manuscript must include the title, abstracts in Spanish, Portuguese and English, keywords in the three languages (although they have already been included in independent sections); the main text, references, and figure captions, but not figures or title page information.
The original articles, review articles and clinical cases must contain:
– A front page with all the data as detailed in point 1
– A second file with the totally anonymous manuscript, the declarations of the conflict of interest, financing and ethical responsibilities that are completed electronically in the manuscript manager when the article is sent

4. Tables
All tables must be created in Word format. Each one must be presented as individual files, and they should be self-explanatory through brief title and table footnotes and be numbered according to the order of appearance in the text with Arabic numerals. All tables and their notes or legends must be editable, not copied or pasted from external sources.
5. Figures
- Figures, photographs, diagrams, and illustrations must each be presented in individual files, be self-explanatory and numbered according to the order of appearance in the text with Arabic numerals. They must be sent in Spanish, Portuguese, and English to be published in the different versions of the journal.
- If the photographs submitted depict patients, their anonymity must be ensured; otherwise proof of written consent from the patient or his/her relatives to publish photographs must be included.
- If illustrations by other authors, published or unpublished, are used, the corresponding reproduction permission must be attached. The figure captions must be noted on a separate sheet, consecutively, indicating the number of the corresponding figure.
- Digital images must be legible and printed with a resolution of no less than 300 dpi, with jpg, eps, tiff, PNG, and Microsoft™ Office extensions. All figures must be editable and not copied/pasted from external sources, except those that the authors have permission to reproduce.
6. Bibliographic references
They will be submitted in accordance with the Uniform Requirements for Manuscripts Submitted to Biomedical Journals (International Committee of Editors of Biomedical Journals).
7. Ethical disclosures
The following form must be submitted when uploading the article on the platform: https://www.permanyer.com/formulario-responsabilidades/# The journal adheres to the Uniform Requirements for Preparing Manuscripts Submitted to Biomedical Journals: Writing and Editing Biomedical Publications, in the most recent version published by the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors on its website http://www.icmje.org. regarding possible conflicts of interest, privacy and confidentiality, as well as human and animal rights as subjects of research. A copy of the informed consent will be requested in the case of studies with patients and clinical cases, as well as the approval of the Bioethics Committee of the corresponding institution, in the case of clinical and experimental studies.
The procedures in humans must adhere to the ethical standards of the Helsinki Declaration of 1975 (World Medical Association Declaration of Helsinki) Ethical Principles for Medical Research Involving Human Subjects. JAMA 2000; 284: 3043-5, as well as the agreement published by the Ministry of Health on January 26, 1982, and the Rules of the Ethics and Research Committee of the Institution where an original work was carried out. In relation to data confidentiality data, the way in which the anonymity of the participants and the privacy of their information have been protected must be informed.
8. Funding
The author should mention the organizations that funded the research, including grants or similar, if applicable.

Authors should describe any financial or personal relationship they have with other people or organizations that could lead to a conflict of interest in relation to the article submitted for publication.
COPYRIGHT
All submitted works must be accompanied by a letter signed by all the authors, stating that it has not been published previously, nor has it been sent simultaneously to another journal, and that there is no conflict of interest. In case of acceptance, the copyright will be transferred Sociedad Latinoamericana de Gastroenterología, Hepatología y Nutrición Pediátrica, who will publish them open access under the licence: CC BY-NC-ND (http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/).
To promote the transparency and quality of the research, the authors will be asked as an essential requirement to self-assess adherence to the relevant international guidelines according to the type of study:
– Clinical trials: CONSORT (http://www.consort-statement.org/). In addition, all trials must be registered in one of the international databases, and the corresponding registration number must always be indicated.
– Observational studies: STROBE (www.strobe-statement.org).
– Diagnostic tests: STARD (www.equator-network.org/reporting-guidelines/stard/).
– For other types of studies, consult the guidelines on the EQUATOR initiative (http://www.equator-network.org/).
TYPES OF ARTICLES
Original article
Original articles present results from clinical or basic original research. The full manuscript text should be structured in Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results, Discussion, Acknowledgments and References. The maximum length for original articles will be up 10 pages, 7 figures, 7 tables and 45 references.
Review article
They will treat a current topic which is medically relevant. The main author or corresponding author must be an authority in the reviewed theme or area and must attach a bibliography of his/her contributions supporting his/her experience. Maximum length will be up 20 to 22 pages, 6 figures, 6 tables and 50 references.
Clinical case
Clinical cases are devoted to the publication of “interesting medical cases” like they ones we encounter every day in our clinics; these are the most important aspects necessaries to publish the patients’ problems from their medical record. They must be comprised of free-form abstracts in Spanish and in English (100 words maximum), introduction, case presentation, discussion, illustrations and bibliography. Maximum length 10 pages, 6 figures, 6 tables and 30 references.
Editorial
This section will be dedicated to the analysis and reflection on the health problems of the population, the different preventive and therapeutic approaches, as well as the progress made in the field of biomedical research. By invitation of the publisher.
Letters to the Editor
Its purpose is to expose: 1) positive or negative comments in response to a previous publication; 2) concise communication of an investigation; or: 3) a case report. Letters should have a maximum of 4 authors, 800 words, a title in Spanish, English, and Portuguese, 2 figures, and no tables.
Clinical image
This section is meant to show images of interest in gastroenterology and pediatric nutrition. It may involve clinical aspects, cabinet studies, pathological anatomy or any other that is considered relevant to specialists. Two or three illustrations of excellent quality must be sent, accompanied by a brief description that highlights the importance of the image, in Spanish, English, and Portuguese, (maximum of 250 words). If necessary, up to three bibliographical references may be included. The privacy of patients must be protected.

EDITORIAL PROCESS
The editorial process consists of 6 stages:
1. Reception of the manuscript (indeterminate, depending on whether the author meets the requirements): its objective is to verify that the manuscript complies with the specifications of these instructions for authors and that the submitted documentation is complete.
2. Initial editorial review (maximum 5 business days): its objective is to corroborate the relevance, timeliness, originality, and scientific contribution of the manuscript, as well as the methodological and statistical soundness of the study. At this time, it will be submitted to an electronic plagiarism detection system. Derived from this, a rejected opinion may be obtained, or it will be sent for review by peer researchers.
3. Review by peer researchers (maximum 30 business days): the opinion of at least two experts in the area in question will be obtained, who will evaluate the technical and methodological aspects of the investigation.
4. Editorial review (maximum 7 business days): its objective is to make a decision based on the opinion of peer reviewers. The opinion can be rejected, major changes, minor changes or accepted. In the case of major or minor changes, it will be submitted again for evaluation by the initial peer reviewers.
5. Final edition (6 weeks): its objective is the technical and linguistic edition (and translation), layout of galleys, DOI assignment, and correction by the author.
6. Advanced publication: All manuscripts will be published ahead of print on the journal's website as soon as they complete the editing process, until they are incorporated into a final issue of the journal.
PRINT PROOFS (PDF) OF ACCEPTED ARTICLES
The corresponding author will receive proofs of the article for revision and correction of terminology errors, or any other updates related to facts/figures. As the article will already have been edited according to the journal’s internal editorial guidelines, style corrections will not be accepted. The corresponding author will receive an email with the article in PDF format, on which they can leave their comments. Authors will need to have Adobe Reader (version 9, or a later version), downloadable for free). For other system requirements, please visit the Adobe website.
Alternatively, authors may list their corrections and submit them via email. Any major changes at this stage will be subject to the approval of the Editor. Authors should make sure to include all changes in a single email, as we cannot guarantee the inclusion of subsequent corrections.
The proof review is the responsibility of the author.
